The short answer: In 2026 an AI course in India costs anywhere from about ₹20,000 for a short certification to ₹3,00,000 for a long career programme, and a four-year AI degree runs to a median ₹2.42 lakh in tuition alone. Four things move the number: how many hours are live with a mentor, how much AI usage is included, whether the certificate and real projects sit inside the fee, and how long the programme runs. An agentic AI course sits in the upper half of that band, because it ends in something you can show an employer. Bheem Academy prices each track as one band and sends that band, the instalment terms and the next batch date in writing before you pay.
AI course fees in India, 2026 — the price bands
| What you are buying | What it has been advertised at | Who it suits |
|---|
| Short AI certification course (Kochi and Kerala institutes) | about ₹31,500 – ₹35,000 | A first formal credential, one to three months |
| Government of Kerala 540-hour AI/ML course | ₹35,000 | Learners who want a long, government-run programme |
| Longer career programmes | ₹20,000 – ₹3,00,000 | Graduates and career-switchers aiming at an AI role |
| Four-year AI degree (Kerala) | median ₹2.42 lakh in tuition | School leavers who want a full degree |
Every figure in that table is another institution's own published price, read from its own page on 21 October 2026. Prices change without notice, and not one of those figures is Bheem Academy's fee.
Look at the spread: fifteen times from the cheapest line to the most expensive. That spread is not a pricing trick. It is the difference between a three-month tool course, a 540-hour government programme, a six-month course built on live business projects, and a four-year degree. Before you compare two numbers, check that you are comparing two of the same thing.
The table also shows something useful: nobody prices AI by the month. An AI course is sold as a whole programme, and the monthly figure you hear is an instalment of that whole. "₹5,000 a month" tells you almost nothing until you know how many months.
What makes one AI course cost three times another
Six things, and the syllabus is only one of them.
Mentor hours, not class hours. A hundred recorded hours and a hundred hours with someone who reads your work are not the same product. Ask how many hours a week are live, with a named person, and whether that person still builds with AI today.
Live or recorded. Recorded content scales, so it is cheaper to sell. Live batches cost the institute real mentor time. Most good programmes mix both — recorded lessons you keep, plus live sessions where you are questioned on what you built.
AI usage, inside the fee or metered. Some institutes include tool access; others bill you monthly for the AI you use once the course starts. Practice is the part of AI learning that cannot be faked, and a meter quietly caps it.
The certificate. Included in the fee, or a separate attempt fee? And can a recruiter verify it, or is it a PDF from a website nobody has heard of?
What you build. A course that ends in three certificates and no working project has taught you the vocabulary. A course that ends with an agent running on real data has taught you the job.
Placement help, defined. "Placement assistance" has no standard meaning in India. Ask who runs it, for how long after the course ends, whether it is a training session or introductions, and whether any of it is in writing. An institute that promises a job outright is telling you something about how it sells, not what it delivers.
What an agentic AI course costs, and why it differs from a generative AI course
A generative AI course teaches you to get good output out of a model: prompting, images, documents, research, summaries. It can be taught well in a few weeks, and it is priced like it.
An agentic AI course teaches a system that acts. The agent reads a request, decides what to do, calls tools and APIs, checks its own result and finishes the task — the difference between a chatbot that drafts a reply and a system that files the ticket. That needs data handling, evaluation, error handling and the unglamorous work of making something reliable enough to leave switched on inside a business.
So an agentic AI course costs more: months instead of weeks, projects on real business data, a mentor who can debug your agent, and far more AI usage inside the fee. It is also why "how many tokens do I get?" is a serious question on this kind of course and an afterthought on a prompt-writing one.
Two checks before you pay for one. Does the course actually build and deploy agents, or does it demonstrate them while you watch? And is the project data real business data, or one sample file handed to the whole batch?

Fees by learner: what each group is actually buying
Kids, 8–14. A parent is buying a first structured encounter with AI, not a career. That means small batches, weekly rhythm and a child who can explain what they made. Ask what the child builds, whether the work is saved so it can be shown later, and what happens if they fall behind for two weeks.
Youth, 15–20 (Plus Two and after). This is the group where the fee gets weighed against a degree. The honest comparison is not cost — a degree is cheaper per year — but what each leaves you holding at 20: a certificate and a transcript, or a portfolio of working builds plus a certificate.
Graduates and career-switchers. The most expensive group to serve, because projects, mentor time and portfolio review all scale with ambition. Ask what the programme does about the gap between "finished the course" and "in a role", and get the answer in writing.
Working professionals. Evening and weekend batches, short and specific. The fee buys fewer hours and more relevance, so check the two things that break first for working people: whether recordings and lifetime access are included, and what happens when work travel costs you three classes.
NRIs. Time zone, online delivery, how you pay, and whether the certificate and batch schedule survive a four-hour offset. Ask those four before you ask the price.
Bheem Academy fees: one band per track, sent in writing
Bheem Academy prices each track as one band — not one price for everything. Junior AI Basics and Junior AI Mastery for ages 8–14. Bheem Kodee for 15–20. AI for Professionals, AI for Teachers, AI for Lawyers and AI GUP for NRIs. And the engineer tracks: AI Engineer Launch Pad, AI Engineer Mastery, Agentic AI Expert, AI Marketing Engineering and AI Infrastructure Engineering.
Every band carries the same six things:
- 1 million AI tokens a day — 30 million per student — on your own AI account, so practice is not metered.
- 250+ recorded lessons with lifetime access, so a missed class is not a lost class.
- Live real-business projects, with agentic AI and automation at the centre.
- An IBM-recognized certificate, included in every programme — part of the fee, not an add-on. We say recognized, not certified, and the two are different claims.
- The Academy's own seven-platform AI ecosystem, so a class does not collapse because a third-party account ran out.
- A 7-day money-back window from your batch start date.
Instalments: the payment FAQ on our AI Engineer Launch Pad course page states flexible EMI options at ₹3,000 a month. For any track, ask for five things in writing — how many instalments and on what dates; any processing fee in rupees, not as a percentage; who runs the plan, the Academy or a finance partner; the total payable by the last instalment; and what happens if you stop in week one.
Five questions to ask any institute before you pay
- How many hours are live with a mentor, and who teaches?
- What AI usage is included, and what happens when it runs out?
- Is GST inside the quoted figure? "₹35,000" and "₹35,000 plus GST" are different prices.
- Is the certificate inside the fee, and can a recruiter verify it?
- What is the refund rule, in writing, and how many working days does it take?
And the one that outranks all five: what will I have built by the last day, and can I show it?
Common questions about AI course fees
How much does an AI course cost in India?
In 2026, short AI certification courses in Kochi have been advertised at about ₹31,500–₹35,000, the Government of Kerala's 540-hour AI/ML course at ₹35,000, longer career programmes from ₹20,000 to ₹3,00,000, and a four-year AI degree at a median ₹2.42 lakh in tuition. Those were read from the institutes' own pages on 21 October 2026 and change without notice. Bheem Academy sends its own band for your track in writing, with the instalment terms and the batch date, before you pay.
What is the duration of an AI course?
It depends on what you are buying. A short certification runs a few weeks to three months. A government AI/ML course runs 540 hours. A career programme built on live projects runs about six months. A degree runs four years. Anyone quoting a duration without naming the product is answering a different question.
Can I learn AI in 3 months?
You can learn to use AI tools competently in three months, and many people should. Three months is not enough to become an AI engineer — that needs months of building, debugging and having your work reviewed by someone senior. If a three-month promise ends with the words "AI engineer", ask what the last batch actually built.
Is it worth paying higher fees for an AI course?
Only if the extra money buys four things you can check: more live mentor hours, more included AI usage, real projects on real data, and a certificate a recruiter can verify. If the extra money buys a bigger campus and a longer brochure, it is not worth it. Put both quotes side by side against those four.
Are there affordable AI courses for beginners?
Yes. Government and state programmes are the cheapest formal route, short certifications sit in the ₹31,500–₹35,000 band in Kochi, and free taster sessions exist before any payment. A free 90-minute session is also the cheapest way to find out whether live, mentor-led learning suits you at all.
Why is Bheem Academy's fee not printed on this page?
Because the band moves with the batch and with the instalment plan you choose, and a figure left on a page for eight months is how a family ends up budgeting for a price the academy no longer charges. The written sheet is the number we stand behind, and it arrives in one message.
